The Royal Oak combines the serenity and comfort of a traditional country pub in a town setting. Located in the shadow of Windsor Castle, The Royal Oak is opposite the Windsor & Eton Riverside Railway Station and a stones throw from the River Thames and town Centrex shops.

The Theatre Royal is literally 2 minutes walk away.

A favourite for years with locals, business people and tourists alike, The Royal Oak offers to comprehensive menus for daytime and evening, serving everything from sandwiches and light meals to gourmet food in the evening. All food is freshly prepared on the premises by an established team of chefs and with the restaurant seating 50, the two bar areas seating a further70 and seating outside for 120 there is plenty of room. Having said that, there are many times when people have to wait for tables.

Open from 10am to 11pm Sunday to Wednesday, 10am to midnight on Thursday and 10am to 1am Friday/Saturday. Food is served from 11 am to 10 pm. Children are welcome in the restaurant and the terraced areas and a children’s menu is offered. The selection of Sunday roasts is ever popular.

If sport is your thing The Royal Oak shows all major sporting events, primarily in “Sports Bar” on a giant screen with wonderful clarity. The Sports Bar is well away from the restaurant so you can be assured of a peaceful meal.
